Newspapers

Lately in E.L.A. class we have been learning: memorizing words eg. cutline (a.k.a. caption), city editor, columnist and we've also read and summarized and much more. Today we were to make up a caption to a picture from a recent newspaper. We got a picture and a little piece of paper. The paper we folded in half and on one side we made a possible caption for the picture. On the other side we put a humor caption. Can you make a caption (humor or not) for this picture?

  1. not humor: Martha Boston wipes away her tears of happiness as she watched her daughter win the gold medal.

    I can't think of a humor one!
